Relief

One can only imagine the relief I felt this morning when I woke up and realized the very vivid dream I'd had of Jake breaking off our engagement and making me come pick up my stuff while his new girlfriend and her two kids sat around and watched me was only a dream. I just remember being so sad.

I love this man and cannot wait until I get to stand up in front of all of my family and friends and tell him as much. 3 months and counting.

Reason # 549 why I will never eat at BK again

I just have to get on my soap box and express my outrage an a commercial I saw on TV last night. It was a Burger King Commercial with that weird King, which I think is reason number 291 why I don't eat BK.

Anyway, it was this King sing a remake of the Sir Mix a lot song big butts, except the song was saying "I like square butts and I cannot lie..." Although this is a bit cheesy it's not that bad. My outrage came when I started to realize the square butts, was some how being tied into Sponge Bob Square Pants, and it was an advertisement for Burger Kings Kid's Meal.

Seriously? This is the message that seems appropriate to advertise to children????

Then, the public health professional in me kicked in when I realized they were selling kids meals for 99 cents. Great, a cheap meal, that is totally unhealthy with a song that talks about butts.

I'm not linking to the commercial, you'll have to go find it yourself.

Am I the only one

Why is it that when I have the day off, I don't want to do anything around the house, but when I have to go to school or work, all I want to do is stay home and clean up the house?

Does this happen to anyone else?

April Fools

Does anybody, have, or remember a good April Fools joke that they played, or was played on them?

One of my fondest April Fools memories was a joke my first grade teacher played on us. My first grade teachers name was Ms. Iverson, and she was a first year teacher the year we had her. I do not believe she teachers at good ole Sunnyside elementary anymore and I'm not sure where she ended up but this lady was born to be a first grade teacher.

Anyway, the joke was very simple we were first graders after all. I believe that during recess she switched our math books around in our desk, because when it came time for Math class she calmly told us to take out our books. Well, we all started to realize we had the wrong persons math books, and when we looked up, the look of glee and giggles on her face is one I will never forget as she shouted April Fools. She was so pleased with herself for pulling it off.

So Happy April Fools to all of you. As far as I know, there are no April Fools jokes to be played in this house.
